What a powerful Community Connects event we had with our incredible partners at @familyservicesa ! Our partners shared their programs, grew their networks, and created alignments; and our panel tackled one of the most important topics in digital inclusion efforts: mentorships and internships as key pathways for building digital skills. We know up-skilling through experience, exposure, and engagement is critical to improved economic mobility

Our Broadband Issue Team had the opportunity to share San Antonio and Bexar County's priorities with state representatives and highlight the amazing work happening to bridge the digital divide in our community.

🚀 Exciting news! In partnership with the amazing team at Community Information Now (CINow), we’ve just launched the Digital Investment Data Tool on the SA Digital Connects website! Built in partnership, informed by partners, and designed for partners (you see the theme right?!) this resource provides hyper-local data and insights to support critical digital inclusion work done by organizations and advocates across the community. https://lnkd.in/grWbk8QX

This event just made our week! 🎉 We are thankful to SADC's newest community organization partner, Code Equity, who are... kids teaching kids how to code! 💥 When they reached out to SADC and said “We want to be able to teach more classes and serve more students,” we were in! Code Equity is utilizing the 100 laptops donated by @human_i_t to offer more coding classes and support @ellaaustincommunitycenter in their digital skills programming. We are beyond excited for our friends at Good Samaritan Community Services to house AT&T's first Connected Learning Center in San Antonio (and south Tx!) and look forward to the many opportunities this initiative brings to the community and neighbors they serve.
